One more year where energy management and specially energy efficiency have gained importance in the public sphere. From the latest EU directives in relation to energy efficiency to diverse schemes like ESOS in the UK, energy management is something that businesses and public bodies need to address.
This year again, we are asking you to complete this questionnaire and to get an overview of the global state of energy management in terms of challenges and trends. The 5 minute questionnaire has a series of questions about your experience during 2024, some focused on your company (anonymously) and some on your vision of the energy sector.
Your responses help us understand the current state of the market to then prepare a report with the conclusions, that will be available to you in January. Whether you are an energy professional or a concerned CEO looking into it, we’ll be very grateful for your responses.
Who is this Survey for?
The profile of energy professionals is changing. We want to hear from professionals from different backgrounds and experiences. From fully dedicated energy managers to energy auditors, to smaller facility management teams managing building portfolios, to financial directors looking into strategies to save costs, to operations directors.
This survey is for you if:
- You are an energy manager at an ESCO
- You are an energy manager or technician within a company’s inhouse team
- You work for a utility (large or small)
- Your organisation is not energy related, but energy savings and efficiency are part of your job’s scope
- Energy is not your main responsibility, but you are involved in sustainability or ESG
Why should you participate in our Energy Survey?
At Spacewell Energy we stay on top of the energy news, what’s coming, and what our clients are experiencing. However, there is always more experiences than we can see. By sharing your perceptions and experiences (anonymously), you’ll be contributing to a better understanding of the industry. For us, and for you, since you’ll receive the report with all responses in January, as soon as it’s ready.
Why should you care? As a start, it will help you see if the issues you’re facing are common, or if you have a different situation than your peers.

It will also help you find some inspiration for future strategies. You probably have those defined, but what if you see many peers are focusing on an area that you didn’t consider important? Again, your strategy is yours, but you may want to be informed of what’s happening around you.

The questions have been crafted to follow a similar structure from previous years, including trend topics and more bespoke questions according to your profile. We won’t ask for specific company details and the publication will take into account the sum of the responses, not individual ones.
